The East Pond Loop takes hikers on an undulating path through mossy, fern covered hardwood and evergreen forest. Good views of both ponds and the surrounding mountains are available shore side. The Tripoli Road accessing this trailhead is closed in winter. Bring extra food and water and be prepared for emergencies. A parking permit is required at trailheads in the White Mountain National Forest.
